produce: What is it?

PRODUCE brings together newly commissioned artworks, exhibitions, performances, lectures and panels as a culmination of a period of investigation in the local cultural sphere.

“Since 2012, Produce has worked towards establish- ing a platform for cultural production and new com- missions. Over the 3 editions that took place until 2016, it evolved into the bi-annual festival/commis- sions program of SPOT Production Fund. More than 20 commissions from a range of disciplines that were realized over the course of this time were presented under the Turkish title “Domates Biber Patlıcan,” which literally translates to “Tomato Pepper Aubergine,” in reference to the title of a popular song by Barış Manço.
